Guardian Angel
As child was created in the heaven above
The lord looked upon his creation with love
He said let this child be taken from heaven to earth
To find the reasons for its birth
May it always walk in the shadow of my love and light?
And seek answers to the questions within its mind
May it learn many lessons as it grows upon the earth?
And find the secret of its own souls true worth
Just then an angels stood forth and said
But Lord this child is but a tiny seed
Who will watch over and take care of its needs
The Lord thought long and very hard
I know he said I have a plan
For every child taken from heaven to earth
A guardian angel will be given to watch over from birth
That angel's job therefore shall be
To keep that child safe on earth for me
To teach my message of love and hope
And to help that soul within the child grow
So that's why we all have a guardian angel of our own
Taking care of us till the Lord calls us home.
