Smile
Our angels are here to defend us from evil,
To ward off demons, and hold back the devil.
They guard us and watch us, protect us from all sides.
They smile when we are happy, comfort when we cry.
But when the day comes that our angel cannot save us,
The day that God comes down to take us,
They grab us by our arms and fly,
Up to His palace in the sky.
They whisper sweetly into your ear,
To smile and forever have no fear.
For in this heaven, this kingdom above,
They know no hatred, there is only love.
And as they drop us at the gates,
The angel turns and sincerely states,
"I now go down to be with your friends,"
"To ease their pain and help them comprehend."
They go back down to the world below,
And off to find your friends they go.
They tell them all to stand and be strong,
For it has been God's plan all along.
Your angel whispers softly to them,
"I promise you will see your friend again."
Then flies back to heaven to be at your side,
As you sit there to watch the world... and smile.
