My Angel Shari
The dreams I've dreamed
I had life figured out it seemed
I have lived my life and made mistakes
I've seen the sadness and hurt it they make
Now I've changed and I know how
I have an angel in my life now
She is always honest and does not judge
She's always true and never holds a grudge
I want her to know she is my angel
She knows my stories my life from every angle
One dusty summer on that field when I was so different
I was just an angry kid who felt so insignificant
I was someone else not myself
I thought I could hide it hide how I felt
I met her that day running around happy and wild
She brightened my day instantly when she turned and smiled
When I rounded third a huge smile on my face
I walked to the sidelines right into her warm embrace
I had no idea what we would one day be
But even that day she saw right through me
I believe fate brought us together
God brought us to each other to have someone forever
It seems like our souls travel in the same direction
and in my heart I hold for her a special section
Whether in the states or over seas standing tall or on my knees
You will always be
