The Angel With Wings
As she sits up in the sky,
She watches the people on Earth go by,
And then she says with a great sigh,
"Dear God, why is it that you made me die?
And now in the ground is where I lye,
But my spirit stills soars way up high,
Is this what you do to a person like I?"
And then the girl begins to cry,
And as she sobs, something catches her eye.
A hand reaches down and rests at her side,
And then comes a voice that she can't defy,
Saying,"I will tell you the truth, I promise I wont lie.
I brought you here to help others, that is why,
And I'll give you your wings if you just say you'll try."
So the girl looks up and begins to imply,
"Dear God, I promise, for you I will try,
And now, please, may I have my wings to fly?"
So now the angel with wings flies across the sky,
And to the people she once loved, she says
"Good-Bye."
