Christmas smells like angels,
their halos flutter silver.
My tabby kitten hanging,
orange ornament with fur,
blinking eyes, and lights in pine.
Let the gingerbread people love,
with candy hearts
and licorice lips.
Leave a letter for Santa,
and grandma's fruitcake on a plate.
Mint leaves swirl like snow
in the steam and dream of tea.
