Angels All Around

I was all alone one dreary night
on my way home
without no one in sight...
Walking through
crime ridden streets
clothed with the look
of fear and defeat...
Church let out rather late
there were no guards
beyond the gates...
I thought
I heard a mystical sound
yet when I looked
no one was around...
I walked faster
to pick up my pace
and then
I had come face to face
with a man
who had fallen from grace
he truley looked
tested, troubled and tried
as he attempted to make me realize....
Upon my purse his eyes were glued
he said pardon me ma'am
do you have two dollars for some food...
I've been long without shelter
and of foods taste
each day it gets harder
to run this race
the race of life,
where no one cares
rarely trying to share
what they can spare....
I'm not alone,
my family is here
we've been on the streets,
for about a year...
My eyes got wide,
when I saw such a sight
behind this man,
was three children
and his wife....
I thought my Lord,
what can I do
there was already to much
I was going through
Then like light in the darkness
the Lord was showing me
it's not about hordening,
yet helping those in need...
I let them come stay in my house
just for a night
I feed them and tried
to do what was right...
I told them
joy comes in the morning
God makes all things a new
then we shall know
what we must do....
Before I retired
I knelt down to pray
May angels in heaven,
make for these people away....
The morning came quickly
a day that was bright
the man and his family
were still resting dispite
the singing of angels
that filled the room
that overpowered
the feeling of gloom...
Angels were dancing
with a song of delight
The victory has been won,
and we won the fight...
Missionaries from my church
began to fill my house
prayers were lifted up,
and an angel said,
they now have a house,
it will be filled from bottom
up to the top
all your prayers have been answered,
without a doubt...
An angel awoke him
& his family,
and once he heard them sing,
he was filled with hope
to cope through all of these things....
They now live in harmony
under one roof
his children still recall
what happened in thier youth.
They'll always remember
when they were down,
hope will always find them,
wherever Angels are around...
